Sefolosha named Bulls CDW/Sony Notebooks Player of the Month
Thabo Sefolosha has been named the Bulls CDW/Sony Notebooks Player of the Month for February. The 6-7, 215-pound guard is the season’s fourth winner of the monthly award, joining Andrés Nocioni (November), Ben Gordon (December) and Joe Smith (January).
Sefolosha started all 12 of his February appearances and posted averages of 12.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.1 apg and 1.17 spg in 31.8 mpg. He also shot .471 from the floor and .700 from the free throw line. Sefolosha led the team in scoring twice and in rebounds twice. He reached double figures in scoring nine times, including two games of a career-high 22 points, and one double-double outing.
During the month, Sefolosha registered season highs nearly every statistical category and set career-high marks in points (22, twice), field goals made (9), field goals attempted (21), three-point field goals made (2, twice), three-point field goals attempted (6), free throws made (7), free throws attempted (8), total rebounds (13), assists (6) and steals (4).
On the year, Sefolosha has started 22 of his 50 appearances and averaged 6.7 ppg, 3.6 rpg and 1.6 apg in 20.1 mpg. He has also shot .413 from the floor, including .273 from three-point range, and .711 from the free throw line.
